If you change the date with actual date, old post becomes a new post.

I recently changed server so I'm trying to fix 404 errors and keep getting new visits to my older posts. I don't want my loyal readers being spammed by my old content, especially if they've seen it before.

Or being penalised for ping spamming each time I update a post.
