YouTube also has a gazillion servers and a network to back it up. You probably do not :)

Actually I was a bit impressed by the sample at the jojo site (see first post) where you could embed product images - you see a nice gadget image and you might just copy paste in a own blogpost, but for some non-techies this easy embedding function might be useful.
But you are right, might not be an idea for wordpress by default function

Yes, for example if I got a site where I post images or own videos - like youtube - and people could easily spread this content -if I want to- but with a link to the original content.
Might be a plugin case ok, but I use e.g. the youtube embedding function quite often, so just press like a hover effect and then pop-ups a embedding code...
I understand the aspect of NOT wanting to let others to embed, but see youtube - there are thousands of embeddings that refer to the original source, because they give an easy embedding function...

You mean to embed your content on other people's sites?

Most of us spend a lot of time and effort making that NOT possible, because of how much bandwidth that takes up.

But that is most definitely plugin land.

Hi,

I just wondered if there is a kind of embed button solution for WordPress. If I got images and video locally hosted in my blog, and there would be a function like on Youtube or better like on Photojojo (photojojo com /store on product pages) - then I guess non-techy people would be likely to share like they quick-share a Youtube video... if it's made in a non disruptive style like in the mentioned sample from jojo with mouse-over...
so my idea: a "Embed Button" quick solution for WordPress...
