To post a video

1. Visit "Write > Post >" scroll past the post box and click the "Add a video to your post with Seesmic".
2. A video recorder window will open asking for your Seesmic username and password. Once you login you will be able to record a video. Otherwise, you can register for a Seesmic account, or (if allowed) post anonymously.
3. Once you have recorded for at least 5 seconds, you will see the "Save and Post it" or "Record again".

The video will be posted in the content area of your post. You can add text, tags, categories, etc. before publishing.

To post a comment

Users will go through almost the same process as when posting a video.

NOTE: If you have any required fields, i.e. "name" and "email", those fields will stillbe required for a Seesmic video comment.

To moderate a comment

If you have moderation turned off, your reader's Seesmic comment will be posted immediately.

With moderation turned on, you will moderate the video comment the same way you would moderate a text comment.

Uninstall

To uninstall, simply disable the plugin in your dashboard before removing the plugin files from your plugins directory.

NOTE: If you uninstall the plugin, the code for displaying the video will still be displayed in posts and/or comments. At this point, those will need to be deleted and/or moderated manually.

I use a custom theme, will I have any troubles?

The default tag id

must be included. It should already be included in most standard themes.

I have installed the plugin but my videos do not play

The script include tag

<?php wp_head(); ?>

must be found in your header template between the HEAD tags. Otherwise the JavaScript includes will not be defined correctly and you will not be able to record or play videos.

I have installed a custom threaded comment plugin, will I have any problems?

In order to use threaded comments, we recommend using the WordPress threaded comment plugin. Other threaded comments plugins may not work and have not been tested by us.
