Although my widgets usualy have a gray background colour, thus they look like boxes, the random posts widget has not. I've already checked the html tags, but it's unordered lists and i don't see any further configuration options. Maybe i'll find the bug in the code and will be able to fix it myself.<br /> Otherwise the plugin is great. I like the idea of having a random post list, thus readers get aware of older posts without having to turn pages.
