Gallery2 has a fairly detailed (but I will freely admit) complex security model that will allow you to do this..

For example you can add your authors to a Gallery2 group and give that group post access to a range of albums etc..

Gallery2 codex (codex.gallery.org) will have more information regarding how this all works..

Does this plugin allow my authors of the blog to create albums in public categories and post photos in those albums? I currently use coppermine which doesn't allow anyone but the admin to create albums in public categories. Thanks

What version of the WPG2 plugin did you use? Thanks to changes in WP 2.1, you need to run WPG2 2.1.. I cannot see your username over in the support forums, did you seek any help on your issues??

Used the plugin for a few days. As Novasource mentioned below -- there are numerous problems. Namely the editor just didn't work correctly. In the end, I found it was more hassle than it was worth and went back to making links to images in my G2 library the old-fashioned way.

To be perfectly fair, WP 2.1 had just been released and updated on my system. I don't know if the WPG2 folks had time to make any updates that this "new" version might have needed. None-the-less, if that is indeed all that was causing these issues -- then this plugin is too tightly coupled to the WP code for my liking.

Hiya Uffe,

As explained in the requirements, the WPG2 requires the Gallery2 Image Block to be installed / activated..

Please see the link -> http://codex.gallery2.org/Gallery2:Download#Modules
