I'm getting the error "Cannot instantiate non-existent class: simplexmlelement..."

The plugin needs SimpleXML support for PHP compiled in. This is compiled in by default with PHP 5. There is a backport for PHP 4 found here: http://sourceforge.net/projects/ister4framework/
