I want to change the default settings of the plugin

Flickr Slideshow plugin's default settings are held in '/plugins/flickrSlideshow/lib/shortcodes.php'
Modify the values held in the $default_attributes array to suit your blog then re-activate the Flickr Slideshow plugin.

I want to change the way Flickr Slideshow is styled

Flickr Slideshow wraps the flash flash object in a single DIV tag with the class "flickr_slideshow".
You can either manipulate this DIV using your own stylesheet or change the code surrounding the flash object in '/plugins/flickrSlideshow/lib/shortcodes.php'
