Flexible Navigation

Style

I intend to add many style files in the future, but for now you must build these yourself.

Flex supports runtime css, however in order for the flex application to read the css, it must be compiled to .swf To change the appearance of the navigation beyond the styles I have included you must add a compiled css file to the css-swf directory.

You can do this by downloading the free Flex 3.0 SDK http://opensource.adobe.com/wiki/display/flexsdk/Download+Flex+3

  • Install to a directory and make sure you set the environment variable to point to the bin directory.
  • Open a command window and move to the directory which contains the css you would like to compile.
  • Type: mxmlc yourfile.css where yourfile is the name of your css file. You should now see yourfile.swf
  • Add this file to the css-swf directory where the plugin is installed.
  • You should now be able to select your style file from the settings page.
