This BuddyPress media component adds features like photos, videos and audio upload to BuddyPress. These features are essential for building a social network around BuddyPress.

Please note that there are separate releases for BuddyPress versions 1.0.x, 1.1.x and 1.2.x

As both BuddyPress versions 1.0.x and 1.1.x are being used widely by community, we will be maintaing different component releases for BuddyPress for quite some time in future.

Media component version 1.2 tree will be compatible for Buddypress 1.2 and 1.0.x tree will be compatible for Buddypress 1.0.x series.

Similarly, media component version 1.1.x tree will be compatible for Buddypress 1.0.x series.

• The users can upload video, images and audio files seamlessly to their profiles. (Data will be stored on the Kaltura server by default. You can use your own server as an alternative.)
• Buddypress users don't need a separate Kaltura account to use media-rich features added by this component.
• Only Buddypress (WordPress MU) admin needs a Kaltura Partner ID once. You can get it free from kaltura.com
