   Add a pull down, with a options-configurable default value, to assign posts written in the quickpress dashboard widget to a specific category.

   Definitely a great idea. I don't use the QuickPress widget at all due to its lack of a Category field.

   Would like to see this to..

   Although i've actually found a way to hook onto the quickpress widget and add a category dropdown (which works for both publish and draft). All straight from the theme's function file, if you'd like a code example just start a thread on the forum.

   At some point we'll make the QuickPress module configurable so you can choose what should be there. For now, it's left to plugins.
