Sometimes we feel like responding only to the author without having our comment show up among the other comments. WordPress should have a checkbox in the comment form something like "Keep Private" or "Private".

Key MasterWhy not just email the comment author? Unless the commenter was a logged in user of the site, there would be no way to know who to show the response to.
