OpenID is very well thought out. I'd love to have a single signon for WordPress weblogs.

This absolutely must be a part of core. The plugins currently available can't provide the same level of integration. Ideally I'd also like to see support for the Simple Registration Extension (http://openid.net/specs/openid-simple-registration-extension-1_0.html).

MemberAs the author of the plugin linked above (http://blog.verselogic.net/projects/wordpress/wordpress-openid-plugin/), I fully support discarding it entirely and building OpenID support directly into WordPress and WordPress mu.
