Make nofollow-attribute switchable for comments

   Make an option to switch rel="nofollow" on/off for external links within the comment-section of wordpress. Standard should be set to off and let the blogger decide.

   nofollow is hardly discussed since it's invetion in early 2005. See http://www.itst.org/nonofollow/ and http://nonofollow.net

   nofollow proved itself not to work against spam during the last two years.

   I'm interested in this, and was inquiring on why is rel="nofollow" inserted in the database instead of just when serving content!

   This is good. Let the blog owners decide whether to use nofollow or not. Probably best left on by default, but alow the blog user to switch it off.

   Please please please remove the default nofollow on blog comments! With akismet and admin-approval for comments it really seems outdated.

   Nofollow is good to deny the spammers the benefits of backlinking, but it is must be controlled by webmaster for sure.
