Idea: Ad Module

    It would be great to have an ad module that we can just drop into our theme somewhere - automated setup & such - as with iWeb ... and we'd be more than willing to share revenue with WordPress. I'm sure Google would be happy to set up something with WordPress.

    We are a casual blog site - we get a couple thousand readers a day and we just don't think it's worth moving away from Wordpress.com to our own domain and run wordpress as an app (not GUi enough for us) but we think our readers would not mind some ads or adsense links. I'm not expecting us to get rich but something is something and something extra for WordPress - maybe 25%. I'm sure Google would be happy to do all the work and create some program that we can just drop in and activate - just like Apple did with iWeb?

    A) This ideas area is for WordPress.ORG. You can have all the ads you want on your self-hosted WordPress install.

    b) You can't run ads on WP.com: http://faq.wordpress.com/2005/12/08/adsense/

    Yess, or else WORDPRESS.COM make similiar adsense. Shareprofit WORDPRESS: USER = 50:50 or 60:40 will do.

    For me in Indonsia to pay USD600 to WORDPRESS(to enable user put adsense in WORDPRESS.COM) is not affordable.

    I have my own domain hosting and I have just put adsense there, but there are no visitor to my new own domain blog.

    C'mon Matt/Mark do us a favor. Your rich, we rich too :)
