I've started work on a plugin that brings FOAF support to WP. Next stop the dublin core for tagging your posts. I'll also be adding a button for Tiny MCE to allow you to tag data within your posts.

I want to build a RDFa plugin for Wordpress so that it is easy to implement semantic data into posts.

Read about RDFa here:

http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml-rdfa-primer/

Creative Commons utilizes RDFa for embedding license information in pages and uses some existing schemas like Dublin Core, etc.

Users would highlight things like Title and License URI and click a button (or a drop down) to embed <span> tags around the text much in the same way as they bold and link text currently.

I'm fairly proficient with code and can probably do most of the heavy lifting but I want to hear people's ideas and thoughts.
