Creative Commons utilizes RDFa for embedding license information in pages and uses some existing schemas like Dublin Core, etc.

Users would highlight things like Title and License URI and click a button (or a drop down) to embed <span> tags around the text much in the same way as they bold and link text currently.

I'm fairly proficient with code and can probably do most of the heavy lifting but I want to hear people's ideas and thoughts.
