Not like the OpenID plugin where users have 2 check their email but where they enter their password.

There are plugins for this. It would be better if the developers spent their time to implement something more important, while perfecting the already present features (the search function comes to mind...).

This would be especially good to integrate Clickpass in the core openid files. Clickpass is, in my opinion, the best openID provdier. http://www.clickpass.com

OpenID is an excellent idea. I would especially like Clickpass integration (www.clickpass.com). Some websites (like Plaxo) have a button to automatically authorize Clickpass. I use clickpass as my Only OpenID provider (aside from Yahoo and other similar services I use, but I don't use those) and it is a very good provider.

I would love this feature.

I'm trying to create a new standard. The problem with all the current systems is that they are not solely for ID purposes. OpenID is bloated and just lame.

My site is http://Squidby.com :: some of the features of a Squidby-enabled site are: user has full control and knowledge of what data is being shared to whom; Once a user allows a certain site to access Squidby data, they never need to register or login again; Squidby's sole purpose is identification; private and completely secure (afaik).

If anyone wants to develop a plugin, I will reward with a $50 bonus (hey, I'm not rich!) Thanks.

I prefer Open ID.. but we need everyone to adopt the standard.

Others keep on mentioning Google Friend Connect and Facebook Connect.

I with we could all just agree on a standard.
