The latest in the stable 2.0 series, 2.0.3, is now available for download. This is a bug fix and security release, and is recommended for all WordPress users. In addition to an issue that was raised on Bugtraq a few days ago, we’ve also backported a number of security enhancements from 2.1 to further enhance and protect your blog.
For the curious, this release includes:
- Small performance enhancements
- Movable Type / Typepad importer fix
- Enclosure (podcasting) fix
- The aforementioned security enhancements (nonces)
Upgrading is fairly simple, just overwrite your old files with the latest from the download. When you go to your admin it will give you a link to update your database.

Heute ist das Update auf 2.0.3 für die stable Version vom WordPress 2.0 auf wordpress.org erschienen. Es wurden einiger kleinere Sicherheitslöcher gestopft, Fehler berichtigt und an der Performance wurde auch noch etwas geschraubt.

[...] WordPress announced an upgrade today, so I proceeded with the upgrade. After overwriting all the files, I went into the Dashboard and saw several lines of errros. It looked like they are caused by the plug-in Akismet. So I proceeded with the upgrade by cliking the upgrade link, hoping that the upgrade will resolve the issue. However, it did not. Next, I went into the plug-in section and de-activate and re-activate the plug-in, but still the error messages still appeared on top, both in Administrator panel and my blog. Finally, I resolved the issue by downloading the plug-in from the Akismet web site and uploading it to my blog. I don’t know if the one packaged in WordPress 2.0.3 is different than the one found on Akismet web site, but apparently my blog prefer the one from the Akismet site. Weird! Anyone knows why? [...]

Kleines Update für Wordpress & mögliche Downtime heute Nacht
Gestern wurde das Upgrade 2.03 für Wordpress released, daß einige Sicherheitslücken schließt und die Performance einen Tick verbessern soll. Gerade habe ich es hier aufgespielt, was wie immer völlig problemlos vonstatten ging.

Sehr praktisch. Ein schnelles Update war notwendig, da es sich um ein Bug fix & Security Release handelt.
